From selecting materials to binding pages, this project will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to create personalized journals that reflect your artistic style. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this course is a great opportunity to enhance your creativity and expand your skills.


The Art Journal Maker Project will inspire you to make beautiful art journals sure to get your creative mojo going.  

You'll join artists Roben-Marie Smith, Michelle Schratz, Sara Strandquist, and Leaca Young on this exciting journey. They'll share their own creative ways to make handmade art journals that you'll love using for your own experiments and journaling.

Meet Michelle Schratz

Michelle is the artist behind RaspberryBlueSky.

She is an imperfect creative bohemian soul, wild flower child, daughter of the sea, child of the sun, mess maker, dreamer, and definitely a believer of messy art journal pages!

Originally from the USA, she now lives in southern Germany, near Lake Ammer (Ammersee as it’s called in German)

Roben-Marie is a tech-savvy mixed media artist and instructor living in Florida. She teaches artists from beginners to those making a living from their art through her blog and her popular online workshops. She has been a working artist since 2004 and believes anyone can cultivate their creative spark. She’s taught mixed media art workshops and retreats across the U.S. and abroad and her work has been featured in countless books and industry magazines.

Sara Strandquist is an artist, creator, teacher, and author exploring textile, fiber, and mixed media. Sara is mom to two spunky girls known as Cat + Lu living in central Illinois, USA.

Is everything available when I sign up?

Yes, everything is ready for you to access.

How long do we have access to the videos and Facebook Group?

You will have unlimited access to all the content until such a time that I close my site. All videos are downloadable so you can save them when you wish.

Do you provide a list of the specific supplies you use?

Yes, each instructor provides a supplies list but feel free to use what you have.

Is this course live?

No, all videos are pre-recorded.

Are videos available for download?

Yes, videos are available for download.

Do I need Facebook to watch the videos?

No, the Facebook group is there if you want the community but the videos will be inside the classroom on course platform.

How many hours of instruction?

There is approximately 3 hours of video instruction.

Will you teach us how to create in our journals?

The project is centered around making the art journals, but Sara shows actually painting the pages in her design.  This is not a course that shows you how to art journal. We are making the journals to get you started.
